★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Neue Scene / LATERNA MAGICA ... recent changes: Do not mix multimeda performances taking place ONLY within LATERNA program ie just few times -- the rest is experimental. Must see non-commercial black light theater. Best ticket prices ALWAYS at the counter: national theater's mission: every citizen should be able to see it ==> side seats under CZK 300,--

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interiors beautiful, auditorium is worse. Auditorium is purely functional nothing nice to see there, although seating is comfortable. Catering is made by café on lower floor which offers more drinks but worse theater catering overall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit too posh for the alleged openness and novelty, but still, with the right attitude you can feel welcome, I guess. As to the repertoire, it doesn't make sense to comment with just one performance viewed, but judging from my experience it is well above average.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lobby outside is nice and stylish. The actual theatre is dated (each seat has visibly been mended a few times - a real patchwork).
We actually went to see the Laterna Magica performance, the "plot" if which was halfway okay. The accompanying film footage however was really 1970s. It fitted the interior of the theatre. But actually both ought to be overhauled.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Modern theatre with comfortable leather seats, its auditorium is very well designed, with a reasonable step drop, almost 270 degrees around the stage.
