Průvodce pan Luboš Modrovič je fakticky dobrým přínosem, nejen že zná historii ale i stará se o to to místo. Myslím si že by tato památka UNESCO měla zaštítit a vlastnit stát a přispívat víc peněz na obnovu a ochranu této jedinečné památky UNESCO. A pan Luboš Modrovič by měl nadále pracovat jako průvodce a správce této památky. This place has a great history, although not very cheerful. The guide, Mr. Luboš Modrovič, is in fact a good contribution, not only does he know the history but also takes care of the place. I think that this UNESCO monument should be protected and owned by the state and contribute more money to the restoration and protection of this unique UNESCO monument. And Mr. Luboš Modrovič should continue to work as a guide and administrator of this monument.

Chybí zde zázemí a autentické artefakty, přesto není od věci se s tímto místem s pohnutou historií seznámit. R	Rob on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ V oblasti západočeského Jáchymova bylo vybudováno díky výskytu uranu více míst, která již dávno neplní svůj účel, ale přesto zůstávají důležitou připomínkou na hrůzy komunistického režimu. Každé z těchto míst mělo a má jakousi vlastní nechvalnou ikonu. Například lágr Rovnost sadistického bachaře Palečka a jeho hrad, na Svornosti jsou to Mauthausenské schody a toto místo u věznice Vykmanov má Věž smrti. Tábor Vykmanov II s krycím označením L byl určen pro výkon trestu politických i nepolitických vězňů. Byl založen v únoru 1951 jako pracoviště, kde se v takzvané Rudé věži či Věži smrti drtila a třídila uranová ruda vytěžená v jednotlivých jáchymovských dolech. Tábor fungoval až do roku 1956, přeživší pak byli odvezeni do jiných věznic. Rudá věž smrti je v současné době národní kulturní památkou České republiky a byla zapsána na seznam světového dědictví UNESCO. Camp Vykmanov II with the cover designation L was intended for the execution of the sentence of political and non-political prisoners. It was founded in February 1951 as a workplace where uranium ore mined in individual Jáchymov mines was crushed and sorted in the so-called Red Tower or Tower of Death. The camp operated until 1956, and the survivors were then taken to other prisons. The Red Tower of Death is currently a national cultural monument of the Czech Republic and has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

V současnosti je ve vlastnictví Konfederace politických vězňů a je zpřístupněn veřejnosti. Požívá ochranu UNESCO. Nelidskost a zrůdnost minulého režimu prostupuje místem dodnes. In the years 1951–1956, the area, which is now dominated by a seven-storey tower intended for the final treatment of uranium ore, mined in the surrounding mountains, served as a labor camp for political prisoners Vykmanov II (code name "L"). It is currently owned by the Confederation of Political Prisoners and is open to the public. It enjoys UNESCO protection. The inhumanity and monstrosity of the previous regime permeates the place to this day.
