Archaeological finds in the past confirm the existence of extensive prehistoric settlements of the La Tène cult from the 4th to the 3rd century BC. The village of Tuchoměřice in the shallow valley of the upper Únětický stream has the only part that lies in two cadastral areas - Tuchoměřice and Kněžívka. The second is the oldest place here and in the past it was the village of the Prince of Prague. The first mention of the village comes from 1301. The village with a church and parish is mentioned in the papal registers from 1352. Between 1623-1773, the village and the nearby castle Okoř was owned by a Jesuit college. Around 1,500 permanent residents live on an area of ​​less than 900 hectares with an average altitude of 314 meters.
