The village of Statenice consists of two parts, Statenice and Černý Vůl - both located in the cadastral area of Statenice. The first written mention of the village Ztativnice comes from 1227, when it is mentioned in the list of properties of the monastery of St. George at Prague Castle, which was confirmed by King Přemysl Otakar I. However, the whole wider area was relatively densely populated in prehistoric times. Today, about 1,500 people live in a quiet village, beautifully shaped by the valley terrain of the Únětice brook.
