Vávra K. je autorem keramické tumby, zatímco A.Kalvoda je autorem kamenných plastik.
Dílo z konce 40. let, které bylo z rušeného městského hřbitova v Moravské Ostravě transportováno roku 1961 na Slezskou Ostravu. Toto se oficálně uvádí.

p.Šťastná uvádí, že Vávra je autorem keramické tumby, zatímco Kalvoda kamenných plastik – to se nezdá pravděpodobné vzhledem k tomu, že Vávra byl kamenosochař a Kalvoda keramik, navíc v pozůstalosti Vávry se nacházejí fotografie modelů sochy pro tento památník.
Oprava pomníku a jeho současné umístění proběhly dle pramenů až v letech 1989–90 (restaurovali Vratislav Varmuža a Alois Hlubek, umístění navrhl architekt Čestmír Niemczyk).

Mr. Šěstná states that Vávra is the author of the ceramic tombstone, while Kalvoda stone sculptures - this does not seem probable given that Vávra was a sculptor and Kalvoda ceramics.
According to the sources, the repair of the monument and its current location did not take place until 1989–90 (restored by Vratislav Varmuža and Alois Hlubek, the location was designed by the architect Čestmír Niemczyk).
