Tomu odpovídá i keramika získaná povrchovým sběrem, kterou lze zařadit do této doby. The oldest of the three manor houses in Mrač was probably established in the second half of the 13th century. This corresponds to the ceramics obtained by surface collection, which can be placed in this period. The fortress, or castle, has been preserved as a distinctive stronghold on a wooded hill with steep slopes to the south-east of the preserved younger fortress. The area of the fortress is now almost flat, with only a large depression in the south-east corner left by a square building. Two ditches are also still visible in the terrain. In front of the fortress there is a homogenous hill on which a wooden log cabin may have stood. The owner was undoubtedly Zdislav of Mrač, an unknown family, mentioned in the first historical record of this place in 1318. No written records of the fortress have survived and the reasons why it so soon disappeared are unknown.
