Unfortunately, the bridge is so terribly repaired that it doesn't deserve it. The sidewalk is really ugly.

Dnešní Tyršův most byl postaven v letech 1907-10. Byl posunut do současné polohy proti proudu - starší most ústil do Jezuitské ulice. The whole-wooden bridge across the Elbe was built already in 1452. It is mentioned in the privileges of King Ladislav Pohrobek from 1454, which authorizes Litoměřice citizens to collect a customs duty on the bridge. But it had to be dismantled every year before the ice came. In 1574 Ambrož Balli was built the first stone pillar, and gradually, between 1688 and 1711, the amount increased under the leadership of Gullia and Octavia Broggi. In 1711 a baroque bridge was completed, but it collapsed after the ice floes in 1814. A new one was built between 1821-23 and was later replaced by iron (1859). Today's Tyrš´ Bridge was built between 1907-10. It was moved to his current position against the current - the older bridge led into Jesuitská Street. Due to an emergency it underwent a general overhaul (1975-1985). The road was extended and the stone pylons along with the Art Nouveau handrail were removed.
