In the middle of the woods, a group of buildings serving as a hunting ground was established in the mid-18th century. Only the gamekeeper's lodge, former stables and two statues of grenadiers remained from the whole group. The drawing shows how the whole complex was beautiful, the paths lined with linden alleyways converged to him, buildings forming a circle. Even today this place is very beautiful.

In this round clearing are the remains of the former castle complex of the Wallenstein Hermitage (hermitage) for the rest of guests during the hunts. An artificial hill is piled up in the middle of the clearing, on which a gazebo stood. The garden surrounding the pavilion was divided by eight alleys, still planted with linden trees. These alleys were followed by eight intersections: Bezdězský (Hraběcí), Svatojánský, Bělský, Černínský, Březinský, Valovický (Březovický), Bezdědický and Dokský (Pankrácký), where the grenadiers stand. Several pavilions and the chapel of the Virgin Mary stood in a circle around the perimeter of the garden. The pavilions were named after aristocratic guests who had visited Wallenstein in the past. The chateau was built in the first half of the 18th century, either under Margaret, Countess Černínová, widow of František Josef of Valdštejn, or their son František Arnošt of Valdštejn. All buildings, except for the Auersperg Pavilion (now a hunting lodge), were demolished in 1903 by members of the Wallenstein family. Two statues of grenadiers in the countess' Wallenstein colors, blue and yellow, were erected by František Arnošt of Valdštejn in memory of the company of grenadiers, which he erected against the Prussians during the wars for the Austrian heritage in 1740-1746. The remains of the statue of St. John of Nepomuk stand at the end of Svatojánská alley. Valdštejnsko is a defunct forest area between Bělá pod Bezdězem and the village of Bezděz. There are still several farm buildings that guard 2 statues of grenadiers. A pleasant and undemanding route through the forest leads to the area along the blue tourist sign from the Bezděz railway station or on the other side from Bělá, both routes measure approximately 3 km
