Věž brány pochází z 1 poloviny 14. století, vnější brána z roku 1522. Hradby byly do města otevřeny pěti branami a malou brankou. Věž brány má čtvercový půdorys se zdmi z hrubého kamene o síle 2,3 m. Vysoká je asi 13 m, což je podle historických pramenů pouze část původní výšky. Zajímavé je i předbraní, kde jsou patrné zbytky padacího mostu, který sloužil k překonání téměř 20 metrů širokého příkopu, jenž byl součástí opevnění. V současné době zde sídlí galerie.
