The Lysá nad Labem - Ústí nad Labem-west double railway line (in the timetable for passengers marked 072) was built in 1874 by the Austrian Northwest Railway as part of it´s highway between Vienna and the German border in Děčín. It runs through Všetaty, Mělník, Štětí, Litoměřice and Velké Žernoseky. Unfortunately, the latter mentioned station is not very likeable. It is as if a ghost of real socialism has frightened it. All the more I enjoyed the beautiful sunset behind Lovoš hill and the eastern edge of the Milešovská part of the Czech Middle Mountains. Even now I have goose bumps remembering looking at a network of wires above the track below an almost exploding sky. I took pictures, but the shortage of light was too much for my cell phone...

It leads through Všetaty, Mělník, Štětí, Litoměřice and Velké Žernoseky. Unfortunately, the latter station is not very nice. It was as if the spirit of real socialism was a little scary. I enjoyed the beautiful sunset all the more behind Lovoš and the eastern edge of the Milešov part of the Bohemian Central Mountains. I still have goosebumps looking at a network of wires above the tracks under an almost exploding sky. I took pictures of what I could, but the mobile phone didn't give it at all ...
