The tour was absolutely fascinating. If you like architecture, modernism or modern history you will love it. A beautiful house designed by Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich, reconstructed so you can see the architect's vision. It was a highlight of our trip to Brno.

So apparently tours are sold out of the building six months in advance and we need to return in December to have a look. They need to work something out if it’s that popular. From the outside you do get teased and a peak into some windows. It would be an amazing tour to do if you can plan in advance. The gardens aren’t overly large but overall well done. It’s not accessible for people with mobility issues

This is an awesome post modern house that is worth the visit. However, you do need to make reservations super in advance. I decided to go the day of and see if I could get in. There was no way I could get in for a tour the day of. The lady at the desk said it was a couple months before you could get in for a tour. I was a little disappointed, because many times there are openings here and there. Maybe, if one goes, they might get lucky. It is about 300 KC for the house tour. If you cannot get into the tour, then you can visit the gardens. The gardens are really nothing spectacular, they just give you the advantage of looking through the windows to see into the house. It was 50 KC for the gardens. I think it was worth it because you can visit the gift shop, and see some of the old plans for the house. The reason for the 4 stars, is I tried going onto the website to book a tour and it would not let me. I then phoned up the desk to book the tour or ask for help and the person at the desk was unable to help me. They did not really try to accommodate for the website not working. They said that I needed to book online to see the openings. I do hope that everything gets resolved online so I can book a tour and come back for a visit.

In my unprofessional opinion, a visit to the villa is a must if you are in the vicinity of Brno and have even slightest interest in architecture or interior design. The villa certainly deserves the reputation it has. I think it is a phenomenal achievement in 1930s architecture that can easily 'compete' with the modern architecture of individual houses today.

Very interesting spot to visit in Brno. It is fascinating how modern this mansion has been designed back in this time. The entrance is not cheap and the ticket buying process quite complicated. But I would recommend this spot for tourists.

This house is amazing! The 90 minutes tour is well worth the amount of architectonic ingenuity and rich history this house has to offer.

Really impressed by the style, design, and architecture of this bauhaus villa from 1938 that almost 100 years later boasts a design that is still for many a lesson on how to do things right today. Had a great tour guide called Alexander. Highly recommend you get him for your tour he is awesome.
