Zřícenina je jen jedna ze zajímavostí v blízkém okolí a v tom souhrnu to stojí za to. There are many more attractive ruins, but at least you can easily get to this one and the surroundings are ideal for walks in undemanding terrain. The ruins are just one of the attractions in the vicinity and in summary it is worth it.

Od roku 1543 je hrad popisován jako pustý. Zachoval se z něho jen roh, jehož východní stěna je dosud asi 7 m vysoká, zatímco kratší, jižní, pouze asi 3 m. V tomto torzu je i jedna střílna a množství otvorů pro trámy. Na celém ostrohu jsou vidět četné další zbytky valů a základních zdí i prohloubenin. Při stavbě blízkého kostela v Holanech bylo prý použito i materiálu z opuštěného hradu. Místo je hojně navštěvováno turisty. Vede tudy červená turistická značka. The ruins of a medieval castle built on an indistinct sandstone mound. The original name of the castle is Milčany, or Kickelsburg. The name Vítkovec is wrong. Since 1543, the castle has been described as desolate. Only the corner has survived, the eastern wall of which is still about 7 m high, while the shorter, southern, only about 3 m. In this torso there is also one loophole and a number of holes for beams. Numerous other remains of ramparts and foundation walls and depressions can be seen throughout the promontory. It is said that material from an abandoned castle was also used in the construction of a nearby church in Holany. The place is frequently visited by tourists. A red tourist sign leads here.
