G	George O´Harek (JOh) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jako většina historických sídel byla i Olomouc postižena katastrofami a svébytnou asanací při vzniku a zase rušení vojenské pevnosti. Tady jsou vystaveny alespoň pozůstalé kamenné artefakty. Je to skvělý počin udělat místo lapidária zajmavou expozici v tak přhodných " objevených " prostorách. Like most historic settlements, Olomouc was also affected by catastrophes and peculiar redevelopment during the establishment and destruction of a military fortress. At least the surviving stone artifacts are exhibited here. It is a great act to make an interesting exhibition in such convenient "discovered" spaces instead of a lapidary.
B	Bartik Frantisek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Úžasné prostory, v nichž je největším exponátem keltský monoxyl. Expozice vypráví příběh od pravěku, přes gotiku, renesanci, baroko až do moderní doby. Zajímavě řešená je i herna pro děti. No a pan pokladník a průvodce v jedné osobě taky neměl chybu, dokázal velmi zasvěceně a erodovaně povyprávět o vybraných exponátech. Opravdu milé překvapení. Amazing spaces in which the largest exhibit is Celtic monoxyl. The exposition tells the story from prehistoric times, through Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque to modern times. There is also an interesting playroom for children. Well, the treasurer and guide in one person also had no mistake, he was very knowledgeable and eroded to talk about selected exhibits. A really nice surprise.

M	Milan Samarek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Něco jsem si právě přečetl a nenechám si to pro sebe. Všechny barokní sochy (a patrně i ty jiných slohů) byly krátce po dohotovení natřeny. Jednak pro zvýšení vizuálního efektu, jednak na ochranu před agresivním ovzduším. I když se deklaruje, že pískovcové sochy vydrží i 300 let bez známek opotřebení, tak takový hazard je zbytečný. Dokonce i ten snad nejznámější sloup Nejsvětější Trojice byl bílý. Jestliže parádní je i dnes, tak tenkrát musel být úchvatný. Já vím, že je to o penězích, ale rád bych jej viděl jako naši předkové v roce 1754, kdy byl dokončen. I just read something and I won't keep it to myself. If it's still great today, then it must have been breathtaking then. I know it's about money, but I'd like to see it as our ancestors in 1754, when it was completed.

Well-located exhibition of stone artifacts and sculptures. Part of the Celtic monoxyl discovered in Lake Mohelnice. The space for this museum is amazing.

History gallery again has touch screen technology and gives a good overview of the complex history of this part of central europe.
