★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Až na to dlouhé čekání, vše naprosto super. Jezdím jenom sem. Jsem spokojená. Přijem je nově zrekonstruovaný.
 Except for the long wait, everything is absolutely great. I only come here. I'm happy. The reception is newly renovated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ V čekárně jsem čekal 2 hodiny na kontrolu. Přede mnou bylo maximálně 8 lidí! V ordinaci doktor prohlédl úraz během 3 minut dal mi papír a řekl že je to vše. NEDOPORUČUJI!
I waited in the waiting room for 2 hours to check. There was a maximum of 8 people in front of me! At the doctor's office, the doctor inspected the accident within 3 minutes, gave me the paper and said it was all. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Měla jsem možnost vyzkoušet nové ortopedické oddělení z důvodu výměny kyčelniho kloubu. Byla jsem zde 7 dní. Musím velmi pochválit všechny lékaře, ale hlavně zdravotní sestřičky, sanitářky a ostatní personál, se kterými jsem byla každý den nekolikrát v kontaktu. Jejich profesionální ale hlavně lidský přístup, dobrá nálada, úsměv, psychická podpora a pomoc ve všech směrech, to je to co pacient v tuhle chvíli nejvíc potřebuje. Touto cestou ještě jednou moc děkuji za vše!
I had the opportunity to try a new orthopedic ward due to a hip replacement. I was here for 7 days. I must highly commend all the doctors, but especially the nurses, paramedics and other staff with whom I have been in contact several times each day. Their professional but mainly human approach, good mood, smile, psychological support and help in all directions, this is what the patient needs most at the moment. Thank you very much for everything this way!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doporučuji, dnešní ošetření na pohotovosti mého 11 měsíčniho syna:empaticky, milí, vstřícný přístup pana doktora i sestry. Čekání minimálni. Lehka vytka k lehce arogantnimu chování pani laborantky z rtg, ale to je maličkost. Ta syna nevysetrovala. Takže za me absolutni spokojenost
I recommend today's treatment at the emergency room of my 11-month-old son: empathetically, kind, helpful attitude of the doctor and nurse. Waiting minimal. She easily criticizes the slightly arrogant behavior of the laboratory assistant from X-rays, but that is a small thing. She didn't examine her son. So absolute satisfaction for me

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Doctor who was on duty that late afternoon misdiagnosed me after my skiing accident. The diagnose was sprained knee, I was advised to come back 5 days latter for check up, the doctor did not even bandaged my knee, however, I was told to use crutches and to come back. I informed the doctor I couldn't as I was flying back to the country I now live in.
When I got back home, I visited doctor who sent me for MRI scan, the results were, completely torn ACL, small tear in my meniscus and significant tear in my other ligament, bruising to the bone marrow.
Month and half later, I just had my ACL reconstructed a week ago.
If I am ever back in this area I will choose other hospitals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The experience we have is about the birth of our daughter. After being increasingly dismayed with hospitals in Prague, four weeks before due date we visited the hospital in Vrchlabi. We liked it well enough to sign up right away. The best experience, however, came when it was the delivery time. The staff works to a very high professional and friendly standard. There is close attention paid to the mothers and Alice was always escorted to the bathroom for a bath, for example. This seems trivial and very much an American standard but in the Czech Republic the medical care professionalism has a long way to go. I am writing this review partially because almost all non-residents have the impression of uniformity regarding the medical care standards. Alice was working all night but at the end she had a Cesarean. All went well and I am glad to recommend this hospital to anyone searching for above-standard care in a sub-standard country.
Update Jan 2019:
The delivery/birth section was closed. Hear it was political. Have only the best memories of our experience at the Vrchlabí Hospital.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very satisfyed with the service there. I went for a checkup after I felt on the sloap and the receptionist, the doctor and the radiologist were very kind and helpful. They even tried to talk to me in English as I speak very little Czech and in 30 minutes I got the consult, the scan and the results. Everything was very fast and the experience was quite pleasant despite the fact the my elbow was sprained.
