Fantastic restaurant, great service and drinks. Food was an elevated version of classic Czech cuisine. Bread was amazing, only regret was not saving room for dessert. Highly recommend the steak tartare, asparagus, and schnitzel. Will return when next in Prague!

I would highly recommend vycep for a modern Czech meal. The dishes are well thought out and full of enjoyable details. The tomato soup might be the first tomato soup I’ve had that was almost too intense in flavor. It was particularly sweet and acidic with both grilled and dried tomatoes as supplements. It wasn’t creamy, but the fresh cow cheese went well. The tartare was particularly creamy, mixing raw beef with truffle mayo, a raw egg yolk, and more truffle oil. The pickles and mustard were good balancers. However I didn’t appreciate the charred bread; it covered the more subtle flavors of the dish. The beef tongue, a big cube of tongue smoked thoroughly in a onion based sauce with dill oil, was superb. The tongue was perfectly tender and chewy, so satisfying for every bite. The pretzel it came with was really more like a fresh donut in a sweet and sour glaze, which complements well in flavor. I really liked the nuts at the bottom of the trdelnik to add crunch. The salted caramel works so well with the cream; it was delicious.

This is probably the best restaurant that serves Czech food with a fancy twist. They change the menu every now & then, but it's always full of gems like tartare with truffles, langoš, amazing burgers & great soups. Their vetrnik is without a doubt the best in Prague. Coming here is a treat and we are always looking forward to it.

Great meal, worth a trip! Crunchy homemade soft bread with butter is the yummy way to start the meal, along with an amuse bouche of egg salad and pickeled veggies. The beef tartar is out of this world delicious and absolutely recommended. The oyster steak with a deeply rich mushroom sauce delivered a blast of umami which was accompanied by a much needed delicious mix of sautéed and pickeled veggies.

This was my favorite restaurant in Prague. It’s a perfect mix of a chill vibe, delicious food and great beer. Their twist on traditional Czech food is perfect, and I really liked a special beer they had (India pale lager style). The dessert is so tasty (and I don’t even like caramel). There were lots of locals who stopped by for a beer. Would definitely recommend! If you walk in from Old Town, you’ll also be treated to many beautiful streets along the way.
