Ves se poprvé písemně připomíná v 1. polovině 12. století, kdy král Vladislav I. daroval část pozemků v obci svému dvornímu šaškovi Dobretovi.
Zalešany lies in a slightly hilly landscape, which is just accurately balanced - forests alternate with meadows and fields. The village is first mentioned in writing in the 1st half of the 12th century, when King Vladislav I donated part of the land in the village to his court jester Dobret. King Vladislav II. then in 1167 donated Zalešany to the Premonstratensian monastery in Litomyšl. The monuments of the village include the chapel of St. Ludmila built in 1812. Today there live 110 inhabitants. The nearby village of Přebozy is also a part of Zalešany. As I walked through the village square, local volunteer firefighters met in front of the fire station to lit a Christmas tree that day. We were able to talk for a while about what is interesting to see in the area, they even gave me a bottled beer, because on the way from Kouřim I did not come across any open grocery store (not to mention the pub). I really appreciated the nice gesture and I would like to thank ´em once again here!

I really appreciated the nice and nice gesture and I would like to thank you once again!
