★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zámek Mšec byl postaven na místě bývalé tvrze na konci 16 století. Dnešní podobu získal při stavebních úpravách v 19. století.
Mšec Castle was built on the site of a former fortress at the end of the 16th century. It gained its present appearance during the construction work in the 19th century.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Je zde škola a školka. Chodím tam pro vnoučata. Jinak zámek je opravený a celkem zachovalý. Vždy koncem školního roku o Mšeckých slavnostech jsou prohlídky s průvodcem z řad žáků.
There is a school and kindergarten. I go there for grandchildren. Otherwise, the castle is repaired and quite preserved. At the end of the school year, there are guided tours from the Mšec Celebrations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Na zámek jsem se sice nedostal, ale na jeho nádvoří v jedné z hospodářských budov je nenápadná vzhledem, ale významná svou činností, pěstitelska pálí rna a moštarna pana Hubacka. Vezl jsem tam špendliky červené i žluté, pěkně zralé, kterých se letos urodilo hafo. Pan Hubacek má zlaté ručičky a antikorovy zazrak, který špendliky do Vánoc přemění v tekuté zlato.
Mohu skotskou whisky i francouzský koňak a mexickou teqilu, ale s přáteli při posezení na terase u grilu k dobrému jídlu a pivicku nejlépe chutná slivovicka ze spendliku. Tak ať Vám taky chutná. Váš Jeníček,fčelí dědeček.
