Since the fort was bought, its beauty can only be enjoyed from a distance.

The fortress was built shortly after 1384 by the burgher Václav Hamr from Kolín, who bought it from another burgher of Kutná Hora. In 1414 the completed fortress was mentioned. At that time, the fortress consisted only of a residential stone tower with a square layout of 9 × 9 meters, the floors of which were separated by wooden ceilings. The individual floors were accessed by a wooden staircase, from which a part of the tower's outer walls has been preserved. The economic facilities were located in the adjacent courtyard. The object was then fortified by a massive wall. In the course of the 16th and 17th centuries, several owners took possession of the fortress, the courtyard and the village. In 1712 the fortress ceased to serve as a mansion and was converted into the offices and flat of the court administrator. Aafter nationalization in 1950 offices, school and hostel for pupils were placed in the building. After 1989, the fortress was returned to one branch of the descendants of the original owners in restitution.

The chateau with a Gothic fortress from the end of the 14th century is now in private hands and inaccessible to the public, but a restored cultural monument. The Prism Tower is a remnant of a Gothic fortress from the end of the 14th century, and a Baroque, later Classicist mansion from 1693 was added to it. or boarding school Tesla Kolín. Thanks to the private owner the seat is repaired.

This was my great-great Uncle's family residence, Vladim Radimsky, foremost National Czech impressionist artist. My grandmother lived here in the early part of the century (1920's) and was married in the Gothic Tower. She had many cousins in Pasinka. My mother and her siblings lived here and escaped in 1948 before the Russians took the mansion and tower and turned this beautiful family property into a government run nursery school. When I met my great-grandparents, they were in their mid- late 90's, still living in segregated rooms in the mansion in 1973, shared by the nursery school. The house was run down, and my great grandparents used little electricity. The village of Pasinka was poor and depressed in 1973. The family in part emigrated to the USA in the early 1950"s, but we still have cousins in Pasinka. Any history on this ancient family property would be most welcome.
