★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hlavní žatecké vlakové nádraží má od loňska (2017) nově zrekonstruovaná nástupiště. Ve stanici je půjčovna kol, na pokladně můžete platit v eurech i kartou. Železniční trať mezi Žatcem a Chomutovem je poměrně využívaná, jezdí po ní rychlíky Most – Plzeň a spěšné vlaky Jirkov – Lužná u Rakovníka s možností přestupu na Prahu.
