★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nachází se mezi městy Chotěboř a Golčův Jeníkov. Unikátní výtvor přírody objevili dřevorubci. Je to cca 100 metrů dlouhá kamenná nakupenina, která připomíná mírně ukloněnou řeku z balvanů.
It is located between the towns of Chotěboř and Golčův Jeníkov. A unique creation of nature was discovered by lumberjacks. It is about 100 meters long stone mass, reminiscent of a slightly sloping river of boulders.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doporučuju na kratší výlety se staršími dětmi. "Řeka" se dá po kamenech projít a užít si u toho zábavu.
I recommend for shorter trips with older children. The "river" can be walked on the stones and enjoy the fun.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Během výletu do Chotěboře jsme se rozhodli jít ke Zkamenělé řece po modré turistické značce. Modrá trasa byla částečně rozježděna těžkou technikou po kácení smrků s kůrovcem. Kamennou řeku jsme poprvé přešli - část modré stezky je zarostlá 1,5 m vysokou trávou plnou klíšťat. Podruhé jsme se nenechali odradit hustým porostem a po vzoru afrických dobrodruhů jsme šli divočinou do neznáma dle mapy. Pokud se sem chystáte, doporučuji Vám vzít si zásoby na 3 dny, mačetu, dlouhé kalhoty, satelitní telefon a krabičku poslední záchrany.
Cesta je pak velice vhodná pro rodiny s malými dětmi a kočárky. Proč jezdit do vietnamské džungle, když můžete vyrazit sem?
During the trip to Chotěboř, we decided to go to the Petrified River following the blue tourist sign. The blue route was partly started by heavy machinery after the felling of spruces with bark beetles. We crossed the stone river for the first time - part of the blue trail is overgrown with 1.5 m high grass full of ticks. For the second time, we did not let ourselves be discouraged by the dense vegetation, and following the example of African adventurers, we went through the wilderness into the unknown according to the map. If you are going here, I recommend you take supplies for 3 days, a machete, long pants, a satellite phone and a last rescue box.
The road is then very suitable for families with small children and prams. Why drive to the Vietnamese jungle when you can go here?
