Údolím Šembery je procházka pěknou přírodou v každém ročním období. Odbočkou lze navštívit bývalý hrad Šember. V údolí jsou zajímavé balvany a skaliska.
The Šembera valley is a walk through beautiful nature in every season. By turning you can visit the former castle Šember. There are interesting boulders and rocks in the valley.

The ruins as such are almost non-preserved, except for the remains of the masonry, but at least one can imagine. About 200 meters away is the rest of the rampart of the Slavic fortified settlement of Staré Zámky, 145 meters long. But it is worth a visit because of the picturesque nature ... ;-)

Místo působí mohutným dojmem i dnes. Probably the towerless castle (built around 1357) served as the administrative center of the estate. The promontory with the remains of the prehistoric and early medieval hillfort has been inhabited since the early Bronze Age, then in the Hallstatt and Slavic periods. There are only a few written sources about the castle. In 1357, Bishop Dětřich of Portice bought a place suitable for the construction of a castle for the monastery in Klášterní Skalice. The builder himself is unknown. The castle belonged to the Cistercian monastery until its abolition in 1421. Thirty years later it is listed as desolate. The place still makes a huge impression today. There was probably a timbered or half-timbered building on the elevated northern part. The northernmost rocky promontory with an iron cross is probably one of the biggest local attractions. At one point, my head got really tangled - it's a really steep slope high above the darkly humming Šembera. It must remember a things...

Jde spíše o pozůstatky hradu než zříceninu. Informační cedule moc pěkně popisuje nejen hrad ale i okolí. Krásná okolní příroda stoji za hvězdičku navíc. Obzvlášť červená turistická vedoucí pod pozůstatky hradu.
These are the remains of a castle rather than a ruin. The information sign very nicely describes not only the castle but also the surroundings. The beautiful surrounding nature is worth an extra star. Especially the red tourist leading under the remains of the castle.
