Large train station with staff but with limited passenger facilities. No refreshments, ticket sales yes, waiting room without seating, toilet.

Old railway station that has its period charm. Not far from the station, in the north-east direction, there is a dilapidated turntable and an old pump. The place is in my opinion ideally suited to a photo of a steam locomotive, whose model you can, incidentally, see a short distance from the station.

Bakov nad Jizerou is one of the important transport hubs in the northern part of Central Bohemia. The most important road route is the route from Prague to the north to the Liberec region or to Poland. The city is a railway junction of lines 070 Prague – Turnov, 080 Bakov nad Jizerou - Jedlová and 063 Bakov nad Jizerou - Dolní Bousov. The Prague – Turnov railway line is a single-track nationwide route on which traffic began in 1865. Passenger trains and express trains run on line 070 - they stop both at the Bakov nad Jizerou station and at the Bakov nad Jizerou město stop. At the large but somewhat unmaintained Bakov nad Jizerou railway station, there is only a national cash desk with a covered waiting room, otherwise no services. Time stood still. Just a new white painting inside. The ticket window disappeared and the plastic door. Toilets only on request. The once noisy pub is probably nothing today. From the outside, it looks completely as stylish as it did years ago. So actually as it should be. Only modern machines are chased along the tracks and the lower traffic density is compared to previous flights.

The station building is relatively large, but the interior is heavily populated. In my opinion, quite a sad fate of something where you could build a wonderful background for travelers. It is also very difficult for a tourist to find ticket sales here, as it is located in the dispatch building, which is a bit far from the main building. It is worth mentioning the old depot complex with a turntable located in the direction of the city of Bakov.
