Její vojska porazila pruské vojska a tím Čechy zůstaly pod Rakouskem - Uherskem.
It is a battle that had quite a decisive influence on our future history during the time of Maria Theresa. Her troops defeated the Prussian troops and thus the Czechs remained under Austria - Hungary.

Conveniently available. I just don't understand why the information board is just about the statue and not the battle. Another monument is on the other side of the road

It was one of the most important battles on our territory, which had a decisive influence on the further course of the Seven Years' War. Near Křečhoř, the troops of King Frederick II of Prussia clashed with the Austrian army of Field Marshal Leopold Daun in 1757. The initially indecisive battle ended with the victory of the numerically stronger Austrian army. The Battle Memorial was built in 1898 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the accession of Emperor Franz Joseph I to the throne. The authors of the memorial are architect Václav Weinzettel and academic sculptor Mořic Černil, professional teachers of the sculpture school in Hořice. It is a monumental sculptural work with Art Nouveau elements, impressively placed on a slight hill, forming a dominant element of the horizon. The original bronze plaques with reliefs are stored in the Žertův špejchař in nearby Bříství, with a non-metallic copy in their place. An ossuary was unveiled in the immediate vicinity of the memorial on 20 June 2010. The bones from a mass grave found in 2006 in the village of Křečhoř were placed there. The author of the design and project of the monument is Stanislav Pokorný and the investor was the municipality of Křečhoř.

Battle of Kolin formed the history of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire and namely the Czech citizens shall still remember. While the column on the Fridrich's hill is now joined by the watch-tower, the memorial @ Krechors is accompanied by the House originally serving as a condo for the retired soldiers, whose responsibility it was to care after the memorial.
