90. léta
První supermarket BILLA v ČR byl otevřen v Brně, ul. Stránského roku 1991.
Již na počátku 90. let začala expanze firmy do dalších evropských zemí. Do dnešního dne byly otevřeny prodejny BILLA v Itálii, České republice, Slovensku, Rusku, Chorvatsku, Rumunsku, Ukrajině a Bulharsku. Všechny zahraniční aktivity byly sdruženy pod firmu EUROBILLA.
V roce 1996 se stala novým majitelem koncernu (s výjimkou firem Billa-Real a Libro) německá skupina REWE, která je největším obchodním řetězcem v oblasti prodeje potravin v Evropě.
Na konci 90. let byla otevřena 800. filiálka rakouské BILLY a aktivity se rozšířily i do oblasti cestovního ruchu. V roce 1999 došlo k převzetí cca 40 % aktivit firmy Julius Meinl v Rakousku, což vedlo k nárůstu podílu na rakouském trhu na 34 % a k dalšímu náskoku před konkurencí.
Aktivity firmy Billa, s.r.o. v České republice započaly 26. 10. 1991 otevřením první filiálky v Brně. Další filiálky v Praze a Prostějově následovaly s ročním odstupem. V dalších letech pokračovala expanze v rozsahu 5-8 filiálek za rok. K výraznému zrychlení tempa došlo od podzimu 1997.
V roce 1997 bylo postaveno nové sídlo firmy v Modleticích u Prahy, jehož součástí je i centrální sklad pro celou Českou republiku.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst Billa ever, shopping there bcs its only big shop around, always disappointed from fruit and vegetable, which is often rotten or moulded. I have many times found out at home with avocados, onions, blueberries, etc.. On display the have molded fruit among others .. their storage must be a mess.
They are missing a lot of labels with prices, or the goods are marked with incorrect price / the discount is not valid.
I have seen employees dropping bakeries on floor and give it back, they don't were gloves while handling it as well.
