Carlsbad Plaza Medical Spa & Wellness Hotel

I wanted to see the room that Atatürk had stayed. But they said they renovated the building so the room doesn't exist anymore. I didnt understand why they destroyed something historical and meaningful. It is so sad and frustrating.

Everything was perfect as expected for a 5* hotel. Special thanks to all the staff at reception for their help and understanding after our long Journey (all the way from Australia). Top class SPA. Food was varied and great. See you again soon...CH

We decided to visit Karlovy Vary for a weekend in order to have some time to relax. Therefore we chose the Carlsbad Plaza and we didn't regret it a minute. We used the big SPA area everyday and most of the times, we had the fortune to be all alone by ourselves. The really friendly Spa receptionist told us that there were only 50 people in the hotel at this moment. Everyone in the hotel was just super friendly. They even gave us water for our drive back and some snacks. The breakfast was nice and big and I especially enjoyed the Karlovy Vary bread. We also ate lunch one day in the restaurant, but in our opinion the price was too expensive for the quality of the food at this time. All in all it was perfect. We will definitely come back! 5* and definitely worth it.

Without a doubt the best hotel in the town, and believe me I have experience. The spa and wellness area is truly magical. The choice of food at breakfast is wonderful, really there's nothing missing!. I would recommend booking directly with the hotel, that's where I got the best deal. English spoken pretty well almost everywhere. You can tell that there is real interest in guest satisfaction. Well done!, I'll be back again ..

Staff is friendly & kind. Staff in the restaurant doesn't speak English. Spa is great. The room was small, airconditioning didn't work and it was very hot. The coffeemachine didn't work. To expensive for the whole experience. Had way better hotels then this one.

We started our stay at the Carlsbad Plaza the day the hotel reopened following and 18-month closure on the back of Covid-19 and I was wary of how rusty things would be. There was no need for the wariness though; the hotel was spotless and service was immaculate, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Everyone did their best to make us feel relaxed the entire time. We had researched the hotels in Karlovy Vary extensively and ultimately landed on the Carlsbad Plaza because most of the other 5* hotels had reviews criticizing the apparent lucky dip when it comes to room allocation, particularly in hotels that have a modern section and original section. From what we saw during our stay, the Carlsbad Plaza doesn't struggle in this regard, with the rooms in the modern section meeting the same standards as those in the original section of the building (and other reviews seem to back that up). Our own room was in the original section and was very comfortable and generous in size. Some upholstery did feel a little dated (not worn or low quality) but I guess was in-keeping era of the hotel. The bathrooms could do with a revamp to really elevate the experience but they were perfectly adequate. At around 660kr per person (it memory serves me right), the buffet breakfast was overpriced and mediocre. Bottles of prosecco and a chef ready to cook fresh eggs were it's saving grace, but I found you could get much better options and value for money in one of the many restaurants just a stone's throw away from the hotel's entrance. We visited the spa twice and on both occasions found it quiet. However, with the number of jacuzzis, steam rooms and saunas, you'll likely easily find your own quiet area even on the busiest days. On the second visit we arrived early in the morning and found most of the rooms were quite cool, so my advice to management would be to switch on everything a little earlier, ahead of the spa opening for the day!

Really fantastic hotel and wellnessland. We were absolutely satisfied with everything, incl. food service. We were a group of women arriving to the hotel for a Wellness weekend. We wanted to book a special hotel with great offer of wellness services for us and we could not look for anything better. You can also use public transport easily as the station is directly in the front of the hotel. Thanks a lot for such an extraordinary experience!!
