About Castellana Trattoria
Být Italem je o lásce k jídlu a vínu, ale také o lásce ke každému momentu s rodinou a přáteli. Žijeme život intenzivně, všemi smysly a s plejádou emocí. Castellana trattoria je ostrůvkem Itálie, který jsem se svou ženou vytvořil uprostřed Brna, plný italských vůní, chutí a s atmosférou, co svádí k požitkářství.
Castelnovo ne’ Monti je bohatý kraj mého dětství. Od místních farmářů jsme měli vždy to nejjemnější maso, s dědou a tátou jsem chodil na lov i muškařit, díky našemu sousedovi jsem propadl chuti lanýžů a s babičkou jsem se učil, jak z toho nejlepšího, co nám náš kraj dal, uvařit ještě lepší jídlo.
Láska k jídlu s člověkem roste, jen každý ji směřujeme trochu jinou cestou. Já chodil na kurzy vaření objevovat nové chutě i kuchařské postupy a doma pak vařil pro přátele a rodinu. Po dvaceti letech přišla ta chvíle splnit si sen. Sen, co můžete ochutnat!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small Italian trattoria with cute decor, lovely service, few nice details like when you have pasta they will offer you a personal apron. If you go lunch time they have some lunch offers as well. Food was decent could be little bit on the pricey side, but I think that all is done on the spot, that might be the reason for higher prices.

Food are genuine italian food from a former italian, the staff is kindly and willing to help.
We ordered a tartufo spaghetti and steak it was delicious , asked for couple slices of prosciutto and was one of the best. Will recommend and homemade tiramisu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was exquisite, I am so glad we chose to try this place. I honestly cannot fault the food or the service. The waiter was a lovely guy and very knowledgeable about the wines on offer. It's certainly not your average Italian restaurant, it is far superior.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute Italian place with tasty plates and good wine selections. Slightly noisy as the kitchen is not well separated from the dining room but there is another floor below in case the noise is bothering you. I will definitely revisit to taste other plates too.
