Zámek Čertousy - již dlouhá léta chátrá. Vedle něj je naplánovaná výstavba bytů, možná to bude podnět pro rekonstituci i této budovy
Čertousy Chateau - has been decaying for many years. Alongside it is planned to build apartments, perhaps it will be an incentive for the reconstruction of this building

One of those sad examples, when the building is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic, but is inaccessible, literally in ruins and overgrown with impenetrable vegetation. In 1322, when the first written sources about this place appear, it was called Trčúsy, probably due to a distortion of the name changed to Čertousy at the beginning of the 16th century. The chateau building dates from the beginning of the 19th century and was extended in the 1890s. The chateau complex originated from a free state farm. It is mentioned in 1322. From 1357 it belonged to famous Arnošt of Pardubice (diplomat in the service of Charles IV.) and with the year 1366 to Charles University. During the Thirty Years' War, the court was devastated. The current object is built in the Baroque style from the early 18th century. Before entering the castle in the south, a terrace with a staircase is preserved.

Chudák malej, opuštěnej a poničenej. Dalo mi to dost práce jej najt naproti upravenému dvorci, lesknoucímu se v hladině rybníka.
Poor little, abandoned and damaged. It took me a long time to find him opposite the landscaped yard, gleaming in the surface of the pond.

? U zámku dokonce došlo k částečném zrušení prohlášení za kulturní památku v r. 2009 ?
Old house in the middle of a very neglected plot ... Well, a small baroque castle from the 19th century. Around the castle are the remains of a former castle park. Yes, this is really the Čertousy chateau, not the large hotel / restaurant Čertousy - formerly the chateau farmyard, which is repaired in the surface of the pond and draws all the attention, so the real chateau is lost somewhere in the thicket. Damage. ? The castle even partially canceled the declaration of a cultural monument in 2009 ?

Now the castle is probably no longer planned, because it is starting to be in ruins.
