Quite well-preserved orig. Renaissance chateau hidden between farm buildings and is part of a large VÚŽV complex. It is a public institution and can be entered under certain circumstances. There is also information about the history of the object.

The Renaissance chateau was built at the end of the 16th century by Jan Smiřický - his manor house forms the core of the chateau building. From 1626, the Liechtensteins owned the manor with the castle. In 1639 the castle was burned down by the Swedes. It was modified to its current form by Jan A. of Liechtenstein in 1711. The Liechtensteins lived in the chateau until 1919. Today, the chateau building is part of the Research Institute of Animal Production and is not open to the public. Two stone slabs are placed on the facade of the chateau. The first informs about the position of the manor house in 1591, the second depicts the emblem of the Zajíc family of Házmburk. In the past, they were allegedly still together with the third plaque, with the emblem of the Smiřický family of Smiřice, placed on the gate of the chateau.
