Kaple Nejsvětější Trojice v horní části obce Kout na Šumavě byla vysvěcena v roce 1827 a kdysi sloužila jako márnice. Předchozí zasvěcení kaple bylo Neposkvrněnému Srdci Panny Marie. Stavba je na půdorysu čtverce o délce strany 5 metrů se zaoblenými rohy. Vstup i okénka jsou zaklenuty polokruhem. Zvonička je vztyčena na vrcholu jehlancové střechy. Nástropní obraz Nejsvětější Trojice zhotovil malíř K. Kralovec z Domažlic. V 60. letech 20. století byl obraz silně poškozen, a proto byl zabílen. Hlavní výzdobu kaple tvořila socha Panny Marie, práce tyrolského řezbáře Josefa Runggaldiera, která je uchovávána na bezpečnějším místě. V letech 1980–1981 došlo k rozsáhlé opravě kaple pod vedením Františka Víznera a kronikáře Bedřicha Váchala za přispění místních občanů. V roce 2008 prošla kaple generální opravou. The Chapel of the Holy Trinity in the upper part of Kout in Šumava was consecrated in 1827 and once served as a morgue. The previous dedication of the chapel was to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary. The building is on the ground plan of a square with a side length of 5 meters with rounded corners. The entrance and the windows are semicircular. The bell tower is set on the top of the pyramidal roof. The ceiling painting of the Holy Trinity was made by K. Kralovec from Domažlice. In the 1960s, the painting was heavily damaged and was therefore covered with white colour. The main decoration of the chapel was the statue of the Virgin Mary, the work of Tyrolean carver Josef Runggaldier, which is kept in a safer place. In the years 1980-1981, the chapel was repaired under the leadership of František Vízner and Chronicler Bedřich Váchal with the help of local citizens. In 2008, the chapel underwent a general overhaul.
