Church of St. George was created by rebuilding the original chapel from 1702. The current appearance of the church is the result of building modifications at the beginning of the 20th century.

Jiří vznikl na místě původní barokní šestiboké kaple založené Stadiony v roce 1704 pro úředníky koutského velkostatku na podnět vrchního panství Jana Seifrida. Kaple byla rozšířena v 19. st. přistavěním obdélníkové lodě, a tímto spojením vznikl dnešní kostel. Z vlastních zdrojů farnosti a svépomocí byl kostel v letech 1993–1995 a po roce 2000 opraven. Zajímavost: Zdejší pivovarské sklepy, vybudované v roce 1870, jsou raritou díky svému umístnění mimo pivovar až pod kostel sv. Jiří. Church of St. Jiří was created on the site of the original baroque hexagonal chapel founded by the Stadions in 1704 for officers of the land estate of Kouty´s homestead on the instigation of the top estate of Jan Seifrid. The chapel was enlarged in the 19th century by adding a rectangular ship, and this connection created today's church. The church was repaired during years 1993-1995 and then again in 2000 - that was financed by parish itself. Interesting fact: The local brewery cellars, built in 1870, are rare due to their location outside the brewery, right under the Church of St. Jiří.
