terrible service, the staff was extremely rude and offensive to us. I would never want to experience anything similar and I found this rhe biggest waste of money ever.

The hotel and location was beautiful. That's all the positives I could say, unfortunately. The staff was extremely rude, condescending, unprofessional and they made it incredibly difficult for us to enjoy our stay at every turn on our long-planned spa retreat that we treated ourselves to because of a very hard period. Luckily, we made the best out of it. We still feel the need to warn you about what to expect. I have to say, the masseuses were helpful and we had an awesome cleaning lady. Apparently being Czech and young gives the rest of the staff an excuse to treat you worse than dogs. The trip was not worth the money at all.

The hotel is nice and in a beautiful location, the building and it's equipment are really give the opportunity to spend some nice nights. Despite this fact it's a pity that - mostly because of the staff - the place absolutely not deserve the 4star hotel category. Half of the staff should be exchanged and then maybe it starts some change. ~70% of the guests were germans at the time I visited but most of the staff speaks no english at all and just some words in german. It's a shame. The wellness part scheduled but really good. It's a pity again that next to the wellness in the lobby can't have a coffee at 10 am in a break between two session because I'm in a robe and not properly dressed. Even a shame the way of telling this, the rudeness of the waiter and she couldn't tell it just showed me a paper where it is written. Breakfasts are OK not really fancy but reliable, 4star level I expect fresh juice on ice and not jaffa syrup from communism in a machine. Coffee also could be better. The dinner was also divisive: the food was quite OK, but the desserts.. c'mon a 4 star hotel cannot afford a proper confectioner? Chocolate pudding on one day, vanilla pudding on next day. On the top of it whipped cream, but from the spray, which never saw milk and tasted like pig fat. Awful. In summary the place make worth to visit, but if you want real 4 star category, look for a different one.

The surroundings are magnificent, and service was decent, except for the wellness centre. I was unhappy with my room and the bed, which was rectified when I suggested an immediate refund and a ride back to the station. Part of my package was a biometric consultation, which didn't happen, and a massage with full body peel and wrap. All I got was a back massage, back exfoliation and back wrap. This is unacceptable when one is paying hard earned money. Unfortunately the dinner fare was really mediocre (tough meat, sweet sauces, overcooked vegetables), and the wine by the glass option was really poor. The breakfast buffet was decent, but really lacking in fruit variety. And playing radio pop at breakfast, to a middle aged clientele is not acceptable. I would go back for the location, but I would skip all meals and treatments and would rather pay to get them elsewhere. The serving staff were great.

Nice experience to stay in a hotel with some old eastern Europe charm. Everything is a bit old but mostly well maintained. We originally booked the Exelsior via booking.com but were rebooked by the hotel one day before arrival (reason unknown) The hotel is on a small hill, no problem when being healthy and/or traveling with a car. Parking available for reasonable charge (don’t remember exactly, around 10 euro). The rooms are ok, breakfast crowded but also fine, same holds for the bar. Although the hotel still appears a bit like some upper class location, you shouldn’t expect more than a 3 star+ experience.

Great location, amazing hotel, really friendly staff. The food was really good with a wide spread of choice. The treatments in the Spa were fabulous. The ambiance in the hotel is very posh and I felt like a Princess for a week. I can highly recommend the Monty Spa hotel and we will definitely be back.

Hotel rooms was pleasant most of the staff as well, however the breakfast and dinner buffet quit cheap quality with little variety and especially for vegetarian not much options. Additionally we had some package with different treatments, where a 20 min massage turned into a 10-15 mins massage while the masseuse was having vivid conversations with her colleague and performing a very bad massage. Overall nice place but not worth the price nor 4 stars hotel

DO NOT GO THERE! I’ve never though this type of spa resort hotel are exits. I do not understand why or how did they get 8.0 rating on booking.com and 4.1 on google. • The buffet: During the breakfast half of the bacons and the sausages were cold. And we found hair on the cheese plate. The dinner was also super bad. All the vegetables were taste like fish and smell like fish. •The Staff: they were very unfriendly and they do not know how to handle the complain I guess. The Good part: The venue and the surrounded area was really beautiful. They can do better and they should. The price that we paid and the service we get was unbelievable.
