The space is fine, the food is average, the staff is from the nineties - in an empty restaurant, the waiter shouted at us from a distance, so we could move to another table, then he didn't like the location of the pram, so he organized us where to put it, etc. At the same time, the restaurant has potential, it is just untapped.

Tragic service, the restaurant had a total of about 10 people, it took 15 minutes at the earliest to notice us, the lady ordered a drink before us and left without saying a word, although we wanted to order, we had to ask the waiter to order. After 40 minutes we finally got below average food with a small portion of side dishes and had only 8 items on the menu including soup and dessert.

Most of the time I don't write negative reviews, but today's experience really picked me up almonds and the Mělník Castle Restaurant has a big black minus. We had ordered a group of 50 people for lunch at 13:30 and a tour of the castle at 14:30. We were at the tables at 13:25. At 14:16 I went to inform the lady at the reception for the first time that we would not be able to make the tour at 14:30 because they had just begun delivering our soup. About half an hour before 3 pm people had food and I finally canceled the tour. I got the dessert on the table at 15:40. All the time our group was served by 1 (one) waitress, who was able to wear a maximum of 2 plates (I personally do not take more, but I would take a tray). The restaurant manager, with whom we tried to solve the situation several times, stood nearby all the time and did not put his hand to the work. Personally we came to apologize to the castle manager, but the service did not speed up and when leaving the restaurant manager still pretended that it is actually our fault, because we had menu a, bac (ordered weekly number of portions a, portions b portions c ). So if you want to visit Melnik Castle, eat somewhere else. The star is beyond the view. The food was average when we got it.
