The Vráz' view of the confluence of the Elbe and Vltava is one of the most sought after tourist spots in the city. There is not only the Vltava River flowing to Elbe, but also the Vltava river canal, and because their confluence is better visible than the confluence of the Elbe and the Vltava River, the canal is often considered to be a Vltava river. I was here several times in different seasons, and every time that look fascinates me. Ideal is to come here early in the morning or just before dusk when the landscape is impressively modeled by the sidelight, but more - there are not crowds of tourists here. Interesting: The longest Czech river Vltava flows under the Mělník castle as a left-side tributary to the Elbe. However, according to the rules, it should be the opposite - the Elbe should be flooded into the Vltava River. The Vltava River is with it´s 430 kilometers longer than Elbe, with water at an average flow of 149.9 m3 per second and its catchment area over half of Bohemia is also more extensive. The reason for this "confusion" is the fact that the Elbe River basin was inhabited by the Celts in ancient times and considered the river to be the main flow. Elbe is only 235 km from the source.

Interesting fact: The longest Czech river Vltava flows under the Mělník castle as a left tributary to the Elbe. However, according to the rules, it should be the other way around - the Elbe should flow into the Vltava. The Vltava is significantly longer here with 430 kilometers, more abundant for water at an average flow of 149.9 m3 per second, and its catchment area, which covers over half of Bohemia, is larger. The reason for this "confusion" is the fact that the Elbe basin was inhabited in ancient times by the Celts and considered the river to be the main stream. The Elbe is only 235 km from the spring. Krásná vyhlídka, jenom nesmíte koukat moc na levou stranu "spolana" a práva strana "elektrárna"... Vidět samozřejmě Říp a další kopce, kopečky...
Beautiful view, you just can't look too far to the left side "spolana" and the right side "power plant" ... Of course to see Říp and other hills, hills ... Under the view of the vineyards and the confluence of the Elbe - Vltava a little further towards Neratovice ...
