★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Come here with a good tour guide and you will learn a lot about the different church altar. Do remember to climb up to the second floor and enjoy a bird eye view of the church.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A high and beautiful church in the Old Town
The church was never fully completed. It was meant to be much larger, but in fact the church seen today was only intended to be a section of the originally planned church. However the wars of the late Middle Ages disrupted the construction. The church is quite beautiful on the interior and there are the nearby Franciscan Gardens that are worth visiting as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful church, lovely organ, and an excellent comparison against Bethlehem Chapel as my son learns about the Czech Protestant reformatists… We followed Zelivsky’s path from here to the New Town Hall (we didn’t throw anyone from a window!)…
We love walking in the footsteps of history…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very underrated church, completely empty at the morning (9-10 am), it’s giant and the baroque altar is 30 meter high and very impressive. The building was started by the king Charles IV, and it was supposed to be the coronations church. The size was supposed to be the same as the St. Wit’s Cathedral, but the Hussite wars stopped the building. When the building started again, it was finished in reinessance style. The building remains the tallest gothic church in Prague.
