Základní kámen nového kostela byl položen v roce 1766 a roku 1777 byla stavba dokončena. Vnitřní zařízení je rokokové a klasicistní. V roce 1908 byl vysvěcen a zavěšen nový zvon na místo původního, který poškodila bouře. Nad bočním vchodem je umístěna pamětní deska připomínající premiéru Beethovenovy Missy solemnis roku 1830. The oldest Varnsdorf church was built on the site of the original one from the 13th century. The foundation stone of the new church was laid in 1766 and in 1777 the construction was completed. The interior is Rococo and Classicist. In 1908, a new bell was consecrated and hung in place of the original bell, which was damaged by a storm. Above the side entrance you can see a commemorative plaque reminding the premiere of Beethoven's Missy solemnis here in 1830.
