Старинный, красивый костел возведен на террасе, ведет к нему парадная лестница, украшенная скульптурами. Костел считается лучшим творением чешского архитектора Килиана Игнаца Динценгофера. Многие специалисты в области архитектуры и искусства отмечали удачные решения создателя, а саму церковь признали вершиной пражского барокко. Строительство храма длилось девять лет, с 1730 по 1739 годы. Две высокие, фасадные башенки, расположенные немного наискось являются очевидными доминантами строения. Сама церковь зального типа выглядит весьма величественно. Благодаря чередованию вогнутых и выпуклых поверхностей, системе планировки сводов и других элементов архитектурного типа, развернутых в противоположные стороны, создается динамичное пространство видения. Особенность барочного дуализма выражается в независимости архитектурного выбора интерьеров и экстерьеров, и в этом здании она реализована довольно наглядно. Великолепную, изысканную фреску, которая украшает потолок во внутреннем зале выполнил Карел Коварж в 1748 году. Месса в этом пражском костеле начинается в 11 часов утра каждое воскресение. The Church of St. John of Nepomuk on Skalce is located just south of Charles Square on Vysehradskaya Street. An old, beautiful church erected on the terrace, leading to it is a grand staircase, decorated with sculptures. The church is considered the best creation of Czech architect Kilian Ignaz Dienzenhofer. Many experts in the field of architecture and art noted the successful decisions of the creator, and the church itself was recognized as the pinnacle of Prague Baroque. The construction of the temple lasted nine years, from 1730 to 1739. Two tall, front turrets, located slightly obliquely, are obvious dominants of the structure. The church itself hall type looks very majestic. Due to the alternation of concave and convex surfaces, the planning system of vaults and other elements of the architectural type, turned in opposite directions, a dynamic vision space is created. The peculiarity of the baroque dualism is expressed in the independence of the architectural choice of interiors and exteriors, and in this building it is implemented quite clearly. The magnificent, exquisite fresco that adorns the ceiling in the inner hall was made by Karel Kovarzh in 1748. Mass in this Prague church begins at 11 am every Sunday.

Вся дорожка к церкви усеяна разного рода растениями, каждое из которых подписано, что превращает этот путь во что-то особенное. Благодаря своему расположению, вы всегда сможете насладиться тишиной и побыть наедине со своими мыслями. Расписные своды церкви завораживают и придают невероятную лёгкость, сравнимую только с музыкой Моцарта. А рамках фестиваля Noc kostelu у главного входа можно было слегка подкрепиться разного рода закусками и выпечкой, выпить бокал вина. И этот импровизированный пикник в окружении зелени и горящих свечей, с доносившимися из церкви звуками камерного оркестра, составляли невероятный ансамбль. Если Вам тоже удастся попасть туда в такие минуты и прочувствовать всё это, то Вам смело можно позавидовать. A delightful place next to the botanical garden, where exhibitions of different plant families periodically take place. The whole path to the church is littered with various kinds of plants, each of which is signed, which makes this path into something special. Due to its location, you can always enjoy the silence and be alone with your thoughts. Painted vaults of the church fascinate and give incredible ease, comparable only with the music of Mozart. And within the framework of the Noc kostelu festival at the main entrance you could lightly eat various kinds of snacks and pastries, drink a glass of wine. And this improvised picnic surrounded by greenery and burning candles, with the sounds of a chamber orchestra coming from the church, constituted an incredible ensemble. If you also manage to get there at such moments and experience it all, then you can be envied.

Při akci "Noc kostelů" měli pořadatelé vše perfektně připraveno vč občerstvení a krásného hudebního programu. Beautiful clean baroque. The German Catholic community meets in the church. During the "Night of the Churches" event, the organizers had everything perfectly prepared, including refreshments and a beautiful music program.
J	Jaroslav Novák on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jedná se o barokní kostel, který byl vystavěn mezi lety 1730–1738 podle projektu Kiliána Ignáce Dientzenhofera. Významnou a nepřehlédnutelnou součástí stavby jsou dvě věže, které svým natočením dotvářejí dynamicky působící vrcholně barokní průčelí. Do kostela vede schodiště, které vzniklo ve velmi stísněném prostoru před kostelem v roce 1776, sochy k němu byly umístěny o čtyři roky později. Interiéru vévodí nástropní freska Apoteóza svatého Jana Nepomuckého z roku 1738 od Františka Antonína Müllera.[2] Na hlavním oltáři z dílny Františka Ignáce Platzera je od roku 1819 umístěn pozlacený dřevěný model pro bronzovou sochu sv. Jana Nepomuckého na Karlově mostě od Jana Brokoffa z roku 1682. Z Platzerovy dílny pochází i menší oltář sv. Josefa v presbytáři, dále boční oltář Neposkvrněného početí Panny Marie v lodi s obrazem sv. Josefa od Antonína Müllera a taky kazatelna na jižním pilíři. Druhý oltář v lodi je zasvěcený Nejsvětějšímu srdci Páně a dekorují ho plastiky Jana Antonína Quitainera a visí na něm kopie obrazu Karla Škréty - sv. Lukáš maluje Madonu. Na posledním drobném oltáři u jižní stěny je umístěna kopie Staroboleslavského paladia a přítomní andílci jsou rovněž dílem Quitainerovým. It is a Baroque church, which was built between 1730 and 1738 according to the project of Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer. An important and unmissable part of the building are two towers, which with their rotation complete the dynamic High Baroque facade. A staircase leads to the church, which was created in a very cramped space in front of the church in 1776, statues were placed next to it four years later. The interior is dominated by the ceiling fresco Apotheosis of St. John of Nepomuk from 1738 by František Antonín Müller. [2] On the main altar from the workshop of František Ignác Platzer, a gilded wooden model for the bronze statue of St. Jan Nepomucký on Charles Bridge by Jan Brokoff from 1682. From Platzer's workshop comes a smaller altar of St. Josef in the presbytery, then the side altar of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary in a nave with a picture of St. Josef by Antonín Müller and also the pulpit on the southern pillar. The second altar in the nave is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of the Lord and is decorated with sculptures by Jan Antonín Quitainer and hangs a copy of a painting by Karel Škréta - St. Luke paints the Madonna. On the last small altar by the south wall there is a copy of the Old Boleslav palladium and the angels present are also the work of Quitainer.
