Beautiful exterior of the house, which stood very close to Putim Gate. One can see several cannonballs in the facade.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Objekt je pojmenován podle své fasádní výzdoby, při bourání Putimské brány v 19. století byly do jeho průčelí zasazeny na místě nalezené dělové koule různých velikostí. Kromě toho je dům zdoben odkrytými sgrafity. Bohatá literární historie místa je především spojena s pobytem Fráni Šrámka, jehož roky dětství a mládí zde prožité ho inspirovaly k románu Stříbrný vítr a divadelní hře Měsíc nad řekou. V domě po pět desetiletí až poloviny roku 2014 sídlila Základní umělecká škola. Na nádvoří je umístěn pomníček houslového pedagoga Otakara Ševčíka.
The building is named after its façade decoration; during the demolition of the Putim Gate in the 19th century, cannonballs of various sizes found on the site were inserted into its façade. In addition, the house is decorated with exposed sgraffito. The rich literary history of the place is mainly connected with the stay of Frána Šrámek, whose years of childhood and youth spent here inspired him to the novel The Silver Wind and the play Moon over the River. The house was housed by the Elementary Art School for five decades to mid-2014. A monument to the violin teacher Otakar Ševčík is located in the courtyard.
