★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fort Galgenberg byla spolu s fortem Tafelberg vybudována v letech 1838 – 46 podle návrhu podplukovníka Emanuela Zitty. Důvodem byla zranitelnost olomoucké pevnosti právě v těchto místech. Původně byl v plánu ještě fort Pavlovice, ale k jeho stavbě nakonec nedošlo. Pevnost Galgenberg byla dokončena v roce 1846 a sloužila jako dělostřelecká kasárna. V současnosti je objekt využíván řadou firem.
Fort Galgenberg together with Fort Tafelberg was built in 1838 - 46 according to the design of Lieutenant Colonel Emanuel Zitta. The reason was the vulnerability of the Olomouc fortress just in these places. Originally it was still planned to fort Pavlovice, but its construction eventually took place. Galgenberg Fortress was completed in 1846 and served as an artillery barracks. Currently, the building is used by many companies.
