★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Z venku krásný kostel. Vevnitř sklad knih (měla jsem možnost nakouknout). Těším se, po rekonstrukci by měl sloužit jako kulturní centrum knihovny.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Olomouc bylo v minulosti město důležité, významné a trvale v hledáčku veškerých nepřátel. Proto bylo bráněno tehdejšími nejmodernějšími prostředky, také opevněními. Na místě Červeného kostela byl bastion s ostrým břitem proti ostřelování z děl.
Kostel sloužil bohoslužebným účelům od roku 1902, ale už 1959 začal fungovat jako sklad až 250 tisíc knih Vědecké knihovny.

Od roku 1959 až do roku 2019 sloužil jako sklad knih a byl veřejnosti nepřístupný. V roce 2019 se rozhodlo o jeho přestavbě na kulturní centrum a rekonstrukci do původní podoby.
