A historical monument of Kadaň, which is definitely worth your visit. It is ideal to walk to the monastery on foot from the Kadaň castle along the Maxips Fík embankment, it is a physically undemanding walk along the Ohře embankment. The interior of the monastery itself can be seen through two guided tours. We have chosen the second circuit Life in the Monastery, which will introduce you to the life of monks and the importance of the order for the city. Part of this circuit is also a visit to the church, which is currently being reconstructed (access is also possible during the reconstruction). The unique features of the monastery, the murals and the cellar vault can be seen in both the first and second circuits. In addition to the monastery itself, you can also visit the Franciscan gardens, where you will find, in addition to vineyards, several domestic animals. You can see goats, ponies and a pig named Čenda. The whole area invites you to sit and relax! If you are not attracted to the tour, just come and relax in the gardens. Drinks and small snacks are offered in the area of ​​the Franciscan Gardens Konírna, which is open from May to September. Very beautiful Franciscan monastery, great was the guide to the monastery historian Mr. Mgr. Gavenda, who guided us through the entire exhibition with an exclusive explanation of the erudition and knowledge of the history of the Franciscans.

Today we were in this beautiful and well-preserved monastery. We had a guided tour. The young man with whom we had this, despite one or the other small communication problem, she made an extreme effort to explain a lot to us in German. It was very informative. Thank him for that. It was incredibly interesting to see everything. I can only recommend this sight to everyone who is in this beautiful city.
