Great hotel in the center of the Prague, just below the castle and close to the Charles bridge. All major tourist destinations are on the walking distance. Excelent rooms, you can feel the atmosphere of the old Prague. The stuff is very helpful and will do everything to make your stay enjoyable.

The house "At the Golden Well" is largely a new building from 1993-98, but it holds the mass of the original Baroque house, from which vaults and some peripheral walls have been preserved. The remarkable house has a complicated spatial composition created by the gradual addition of new wings to the Baroque core. This can be dated to the 17th century. The house was the residence of Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe (1546-1601). After 1993, the building underwent a radical conversion to a hotel according to the design of architect Zbyněk Pšenička. In 2011, the hotel was selected as the world's best in the US TripAdvisor poll. Part of the hotel is the Terrace Restaurant at the Golden Well, which won the Maurer's Grand Restaurant 2012 as the best Czech restaurant. In summer, hotel guests can use the private entrance of Emperor Rudolf II. to the Prague Castle Gardens. To lze datovat do 17. století. V letních měsících mohou hoteloví hosté využít soukromný vchod císaře Rudolfa II. do zahrad pražského hradu.

Best hotel experience we've ever had - warning: spoilers ahead! We first arrived well before check in just to drop off our bags and the staff was certainly friendly and everything but they asked if we were in a hurry or if we had some time. I found the question odd at the time but really we were in a hurry to make a brunch reservation at Cafe Savoy. When we returned to this slightly hidden gem of a boutique hotel, we realized why the aforementioned question was posed. Check-in process: we sat down at the main desk with an incredibly friendly hotel representative to give her our passports and credit card, at that point we were given chilled towels smelling of fresh wintergreen to refresh ourselves as the day had been a bit warm. After this, we were given a complete tour of the small establishment and were told of its incredible history. We finished the tour at the Golden Well restaurant's terrace which boasted a phenomenal view of Prague. There, we were shown a map with local points of interest in the city and served a beverage of our choice plus a delicious and refreshing sorbet. At that point we were given 10 minutes alone to enjoy the view and snack, and when the staff member returned she showed us to our room which was one of 19, unique from the rest, and totally amazing. Clean, beautifully decorated, and every detail accounted for - we were just completely blown away by our accommodations. There was a personalized letter waiting for me describing all of the unbelievable perks available to us such as shoe shine service, the nighttime turn down service (which had a yummy treat), baths drawn for us at our request, and even a pillow menu where we could pick the type of pillow that would best suit our sleep habits. Unreal! A couple of hours after check-in, we made it to a quaint gathering area where a complimentary happy hour with drinks, sandwiches, and desserts were awaiting the hotel guests. We met two other couples who were equally as impressed as we were and we all chatted for quite some time in the comfortable space. We enjoyed the hotel for a few more hours before leaving for dinner, but once we returned the staff was able to fit us in at the upper terrace for dessert where they continued to go above and beyond. Romantic, great service, super fun and creative desserts all while overlooking Prague at night - so pleased. Off to our incredibly comfy bed and in the morning, not only did we receive our wake up call, room service was at our door with a complimentary coffee for my wife and pastries for me. Only regret is that we were only there one night. Luxury, comfort, the friendliest staff, historic, and beautiful all for a ridiculously fair price. Golden Well is the reason we will be returning to Prague.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Trying to find a downside but really can’t find any. This hotel goes up and beyond to make your stay pleasant and you feel pampered. Room service is flawless, they bring you a little cookie at night, the rooms are super clean, the coffee in the room is delicious. Furniture, drapes and paintings combined with taste to honor the ancient building and the historical area. The terrace with cafeteria has an amazing view on Prague. There is a lounge with coffee and an office - had to print some documents for the embassy and having the printer helped a lot. I definitely want to stay in this hotel next time in Prague!

Wow! This is by far the highest quality in service, food, drinks, location, and atmosphere in Prague. We came here randomly and what a find of a hidden gem! We later found out that the chef is a highly decorated chef from a family of famous chefs - and it shows. After the fact we learn this restaurant shows up regularly as the highest rated restaurant in Prague and after my experience I can confidently say I agree. For the booze travelers, this is the only restaurant that gets the Manhattan cocktail right both in flavor, color, presentation and portion.

I discovered this place accidentally the last time I was in Prague, when the taxi driver brought me here by mistake. I decided to try it the next time I was in the city, and I am really happy that I did. This place is truly special. I was constantly finding myself discovering beautiful details. The staff is the most attentive and helpful that I have ever experienced. They really work hard to make your stay truly special. The rooms are beautiful, and each one is different. The bath is amazing. The hotel is quiet and in a great location. The views from the restaurant are breathtakingly beautiful, and the food is delicious. It really is like a dream that you don't want to wake from.

Lovely property! Beautiful and heritage. Enjoy lovely view of Prague city from their rooftop restaurant along with chef’s specials. Even a small part Shahrukh Khan & Anushka’s movie was shot here

We love boutique hotels and the Golden Well is superior. The location is in a beautiful, walkable area and is located at the end of a cobblestone lane and so quiet...a respite after a day of touring magical Prague.
