★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interior - comfortable and clean except for not replacing glaces. Beautiful bathroom. Generous mini bar - - thanks for that.
Service - Grumpy nasty woman at the reception when we arrived. Very unpleasant behaviour. The staff at breakfast were lovely though.
Breakfast - Very generous, quality breakfast, except for the grapes which smell rotten. Great view to the square. Idyllic.
Location - Best ever. 5/5.
Price - Very decent price. Value for money definitely
Overall - I recommend GrandHotel Zvon. Careful the non-deluxe/suites don't have a view on the square.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is right in city center so the location cannot be better. It is very clean and overall quiet (the hotel itself, keep on reading :D ) . This year we got a deluxe room but better save your money. For a bit of extra room and a couch it is not worth the difference. Also, the fantastic view of the city center comes at a cost: the first night (Friday-Saturday) I could not believe how noisy the homeless / drunks of Budejce can be. The entire night we had a screaming concert. So better to think twice if you want a view or a yelling concert. Not even the Police could do much. The screaming stopped for 30 minutes and it resumed with new actors.
Breakfast was below average this year. Not much of a choice, fruits and vegetables were quite old, all egg offerings were tasteless. The parking is kind-of a rip-off. I did not know they have increased the parking to 15 EUR per day. If you travel in the weekend, you are better off with public parking (free) or even during the weekday if you don't mind walking 50-100 meters to park. Also, garage parking costs the same as roof parking (I did not know that) so make sure if you do get parking, ask for a place in the garage (by default they take you to the roof). At least your car stays cool/warm, depending on the season. For 15 EUR a night I was honestly expecting a car wash for free at least.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They gave us room at the attic with view on some roof, wooden floor was so, so noise that you couldn't go in the bathroom at the night without waking up everyone in the room. Food was ok and staff was polite.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to stay. The car park is located to the rear of the building and takes your car up in an elevator. Lovely rooms and great staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed by the service. Rooms were nice, however we were given two single beds pushed together (very uncomfortable!). Staff were rude and they charged us extra for random things like flowers in our room. Very upset with our stay in this hotel!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel in a great location overlooking the main square. Historical building and art deco style rooms. The furniture could be better maintained/updated, but overall pleased.
