Hotel Koruna Karlštejn

Only ate in the restaurant but food was great and great value. Had the meat platter. Generally mains ranged from 180 to 220 czk. The barman used to live in London and was a very friendly and fun guy

Very nice and clean hotel and restaurant. Helpful and kind managers and staff too. I really recommend this nice and quiet spot in the middle of Karlštejn village to anyone. We were very happy there ?

Best Slushies in all of Czech Republic. We had walked to the Castle, we had walked to the quarries, we walked all the way back to Karlstejn and they had a little Slushie spot in the cafe. 50 crowns is like $2.50 for a large. Had to get a refill. The slughie guy was helpful for the restaurant down below too.

Stayed for 1 night with my family on our way to Prague in order to visit the famous castle Karlstejn. Was suspicious about the restaurant of the hotel as I’ve read bad reviews in Google maps applications. Thus was prepared - a few optional places to eat. Good surprise - food was very tasty and fresh and good choice of beers. Good restaurant open till 20:00!!! It's a nice surprise as almost all cafe and restaurants in Karlstejn are shut at 18:00 when the castle is shut down. (Take in consideration that there is nothing to do after 18:00 - Karlstejn is quiet like a cemetery) Rooms are very clean. Staff is very cooperative. The hotel parking place (for 10 cars) - very important!!! You won't find parking around the castle at all !!! Would like to have air conditioner as the day I stayed it was +25 degrees and it was rather comfortable at night to sleep with the windows opened. But I suppose when the temperature rises up to +30 degrees – it could be rather hot and stuffy. The lack of mini bar in the room. For one night stay – it’s OK, but if you stay for couple of days and buy a couple of beers outside - you would like to keep your beer cool.

We had an absolutely lovely time. Both of us had beef goulash, which had a really nice flavor even though the portion was a little small (I actually found it really nice to not be over full and have room for dessert) We also both had ice cream sundaes which were very generous and tasty. Service was good, atmosphere above average on the patio and prices where better than Prague in most places.

It might sound weird to recommend a hotel for food but when I came to Karlštejn by myself and was walking up, the saw that the outside was completely full with locals. I stopped on the way down and had a beer and a full meal for less than 300Ck. But yeah that's why I recommend this place. For reference I ordered the "Moravské Bašta". It was amazing and I'd 100% come back.

I paid 90,- Kč for "fried cauliflower" and the plate came with 6 pieces and a tiny piece of bell pepper. Nothing else. Hilarious. My friend ordered fried cheese and she got the piece of cheese only. Been living in the country for years and every single time I've ordered it in other restaurants, it came with tartar sauce and potatoes.

We were there because of eating. The Imperial and the Charlie chicken was good, just as the pork too. The portions were not too big, but there were delicious. Recommend it
