★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was the worst potato soup in my life. Service was also unacceptable, they were not able to find a person that I can pay to for 10 minutes. Recommended only if you are starving to death. :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you go to Karlstejn, this is a place to go have your lunch. I've been there for more than 50 times during the last 6-7 years (mostly while cycling) and I never experienced bad service. The staff is polite (especially the main waiter with glasses), food is delicious, their menus have everything that you need for a good price. Sometimes you'll have to wait a bit for your order or to pay the bill, but it's when they are super busy - it's worth to wait :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent service! The rooms were perfect, clean and comfortable. The food was delicious with a good breakfast buffet selection. The main waiter was very friendly and very helpful. We had a smooth check-in and checkout. Definitely worth the price!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were so impressed with this little place. They have fantastic outdoor space for warm days and cozy indoor space with a fireplace for colder days. The server could not have been more helpful or prompt. The food was wonderful and authentic and quick. I had the beef dumplings and my wife had the pork chops. She said both reminded her of her German mom’s cooking when she was a child.
It wasn’t the cheapest place we saw, but not expensive either. Completely worth the cost. Beer was cold and plentiful as well. Very clean and modern bathrooms.
