Real find, this. Rooms super cozy and a good size with traditional furniture and general good vibes. The entrance/cafe/reception area is again a super charming place to hang out, have a coffee, chat to the staff etc. Breakfast was good - traditional continental buffet with a lot of options in a lovely old room. Great courtyard and terrace and the staff are so friendly and will chat to you for ages if you want to - whole place is generally great place to be around!

Good hotel directly in the historical city center. As such, you can anticipate noise out of the windows, which is very prominent (especially by cars and drunks). We could also clearly hear noises out in the hallway. Beds are squeaky and bathroom is in moderate condition. But for cheap price and location it's totally acceptable. Another thing was really unfortunate café visit, which was rather disappointing. We were waiting around 15 minutes for two coffees and two drinks, which really isn't acceptable if there are only 3 tables occupied. Additionally, we've ordered two cognacs and they were served in two dirty (incorrect) glasses full of smudges. I would suggest teaching waitresses which glass type is suppose to be used to specific alcohol type. Hotel - 4* Café - 2*

A wonderful stay at a lovely property. Check-in was quick and friendly. We had reserved a junior suite with a jacuzzi bath (to help my back at the end of a long day) and were not disappointed! Our room was up a couple of flights of (wide) stairs, but well worth it -- perhaps one of the largest rooms that I have stayed in in all my years of travelling. The period furniture tasteful and perfectly in keeping with the building. We were lucky enough to have a small balcony (including a table and two chairs) that looked out onto Celetna - perfect for an early morning coffee, an evening glass of wine, or just people-watching after a long day. We weren't aware that our room would also include a private little kitchenette, complete with a coffee maker, cutlery, crockery, a small refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher, all of which were well-used during our stay. I had worried a little when booking U Zlateho jelena that there might be street noise because of its central location. However, this is countered through a set of double doors (for access to the balcony) or double windows (the other side of the balcony). We had no issue with street noise. The mattress was very comfortable and the bedding of a high-quality. The bathroom itself included both a rain shower and the jacuzzi tub, all of which worked perfectly. The bathroom alone was the size of a single bedroom! Breakfast was included in our room rate and it was lovely. Served in its own little room, there was always a good mix of hot and cold choices, everything from scrambled eggs and bacon to fresh fruits, cereals, and various Czech pastries. And who would say no to a cold glass of rose prosecco to start the morning? Lovely courtyard too, This is a classy, family-run property. The owner often mans the breakfast room himself whilst his daughter takes care of the front desk. I have been to Prague many, many, times, and this was one of my most memorable and delightful stays. Thank you; we will return!

Stayed here twice now in the last 5 years. Lovely quaint hotel with huge bedrooms each one different. Located very very close to the old square and an ideal base for venturing out.

I wouldn't call it an hotel but a B&B, and then it fits the expectations. There is NO ELEVATOR to the rooms! The room is nice and spacious, however the furniture is old and creaks. It takes a while to the water get hot, so just require a bit of patience. The staff is really nice and helpful. Breakfast is decent. The location is perfect! Right in the center of old town (2 minutes from the astronomical clock) and yet, our room was facing inside so there was no noise whatsoever. Overall - Good value for money.
