Caminar por las calles llenas de bullicio, hermosos edificios con fachadas increíbles, museos, iglesias y la plaza central. Un sueño hecho realidad. Lo único que faltó fue que el reloj astronómico estaba siendo reparado.
Walk through the bustling streets, beautiful buildings with incredible facades, museums, churches and the central square. A dream come true. The only thing missing was that the astronomical clock was being repaired.

I was on two tours with DiscoverWalks, and on both occasions I had a great time! The guides are energetic, polite and helpful. The service is "free" in the sense that it is tip-supported: you can leave the guide whatever amount of money you feel it is right.

Just wanted to take a couple of minutes to share my experience with Discover Walks. I've visited quite many cities in Europe but this trip will definitely remain one of the highlights and this has a lot to do with the quality of the guided tours I had the chance to attend. The 1st tour with Martina (Prague native-born) was fascinating. She took us to the part of Prague where she grew up - to the island of Kampa, right next to the Charles Bridge. Her knowledge, her enthusiasm and her lively personality made this walk very special. She had some funny and inside/personal stories to share! Afterwards I joined Hanka for the Castle tour which was for free as well (I learned that with other companies you have to pay 12EUR/person). Hanka was another great guide who provided interesting info about Czech history, about what Czech people had to go thru in the past during the communist era. This helped me to understand better the country and the population! DW Prague = a must do for sure if you have a chance to stop by the CZ one day! :)

We had one of the best experiences ever in Prague. Our guide, Givi, brought the city and history to life. He was passionate about the history of Prague and we learned quite a bit in the short tour today. Givi was amusing, funny, genuine and we would love to have him show us the rest of Prague. He gave us a sense of the people as well as the places he showed us and we couldn't have been happier. BEST GUIDE we've ever had in our travels !!!!!!

I visited Prague 2 weeks ago and met one of the most smiley girls in Prague - Hanka took me around the Old Town. Her tour was wonderful, I was suprised how well and clearly she spoke English and how much of a personal touch she added. She knew answers to all questions I had and she was so nice to share all her secret tips about where to eat and have fun. I enjoyed every single minute of her walk and learnt so many new things about Prague. I really appreciated that she was also showing us pictures during the tour - it was so helpful and I have never seen anyone else doing this. Well done, Hanka!!!

I firstly visited Prague in 1998 and I have to say that the whole city changed so much! I wanted to see all the sights again so I just randomly picked a flyer at the hotel. The pink flyer saying ‚see Prague with a native guide‘ advertised tours with locals so I went on the Old Town Tour. Our guide was Stacy. Already the way she started the tour was so interesting – she was telling us the secret stories about the shooting of the Amadeus movie (I didn’t know it was filmed in Prague), about the Charles university (she is a student there, so she added a lot of funny personal stories) or about the surprise-bombing of Prague during World War II. I also loved to see the Jewish Town with her, the history was very touching. This great tour encouraged me to take another walk, the Magical Prague tour. I met there the smiley Martina who was telling us how it felt like to grow up right next to the biggest sight in Prague! Wow! If you want to experience the ‚real Prague‘, take these tours. They are free (tip-supported) and they are worth it!!!

I encountered your "Top 10 Weird Things Czech People Eat" written by Emma Starr on your blog and I never read anything more ignorant, pretentious and insulting in my whole life. If you pay your people for work, at least pay them for GOOD work, and not for articles that were written with an air of a western tourist that hates everything and looks down on these 'poor eastern cultures'. Misleading information, wrong information, deliberately picked gross meal pictures, one picture not even showing the correct meal- oh yes, that really shows off the 'weirdness'- and this coming from a person whose culture came with fried mars bars. (I would have contacted you on your blog but your captcha doesnt work)
