Město Jaffa je jedno z nejstarších a nejdůležitějších měst Palestiny.
Dnes se nachází v obci "Tel Aviv-Jaffa" na východním pobřeží Středozemního moře.
Jaffa zaujímala dlouhodobě důležitou pozici mezi hlavními palestinskými městy, to vše díky počtu obyvatel a strategické poloze, a to až do roku 1948. Kdy bylo vysídlena většina arabského obyvatelstva.
Město Jaffa je přirozeným místem na východním pobřeží Středozemního moře. Je jednou ze západních bran Palestiny, kde je Palestina spojena se Středozemím, Evropou a Afrikou. Její přístav je jedním z nejstarších na světě a slouží lodím po více než 4000 let.
Dnes zde žije asi 60 000 lidi, většinou židé, arabská menšina muslimů a křesťanů.
Jaffa byla považována za nesporné kulturní město Palestiny, které zahrnovalo nejdůležitější deníky, desítky časopisů a vydavatelství. Stejně jako kina, divadla a kulturní kluby v Palestině.
Dnes se město skládá ze čtyř středních předměstí Tel Avivu.
Město se skládá z 12 čtvrtí obývaných Araby. Nejvýznamnější čtvrtím patří Ajami, Manshiyah, Arshid a Nizha al jabalya.
V roce 1949 se izraelská vláda rozhodla spojit město Jaffa a Tel Aviv pod jménem Tel Aviv municipality- Jaffa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad experince because of fake reviews by own people. The food was very bad, under cooked meat and very unfriendly staff.
For only a single dish( to be seen in photo) we paid almost 80€(2000 CZK). Happily again in Praha but never by Jaffa again.

Don't know how the rating is so high. Absolutely stale food. We ordered chicken tikka and chicken wings. They tasted really old food. Sad that its not being regulated. Here is the picture of our plate after paying the bill

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my family to Jaffa restaurant and we were very impressed, the wait staff were extremely friendly and the food was amazing. The complimentary bread has oregano in it that I’d personally order if it were on the menu. We ordered the tabouleh, hummus and cheese sambosek for starters and the lamb Kabseh and shish taouk for mains. Everything we ordered tasted great. The tabouleh was fresh the cheese sambosek had oregano in the dough which I’ve never had before and loved. The shish was cooked perfectly so it was nice and juicy instead of dry and the Kabseh was good too. The tea while you wait for the bill went down well. I would definitely come back and try other items off the menu.
