Kaple je součástí prohlídky Arcidiecézního muzea, a to až na samém konci této prohlídky. A teď si vyber. Budeš obdivovat církevní klenoty, zlatý kočár, množství vzácných obrazů a soch. Hodně návštěvníků přijde do kaple svaté Barbory hladových, žíznivých, nohy bolí. Takže buď do kaple nejdeme vůbec, případně ji proběhneme, jen aby se neřeklo. A je to škoda. Many visitors come to the chapel of St. Barbara hungry, thirsty, their feet hurt. So either we don't go to the chapel at all, or we run it, just to be told. And it's a shame.

В начале 13 века ее включили в состав Нового градека – резиденции маркграфа. На рубеже 15-16 веков к башне была пристроена винтовая лестница, а также проделаны новые окна на северной и южной сторонах. Начиная с 1535 года часовня Святой Варвары становится частью Капитула. В середине 18 века башню разделили на три этажа, при этом на третьем этаже помещалась частная прелатская часовня святой Варвары. До наших дней часовня сохранилась уже в немного измененном виде. Первоначально у башни была крыша конической формы, которую с началом эпохи барокко заменили на купол с фонарем. Верхушку этого купола украшает позолоченная статуя святой Варвары. В настоящее время в часовнях собора ведутся реставрационные работы, - поэтому вход в них временно ограничен. Однако, это нисколько не огорчило меня, так как и на площади перед собором было немало скульптурных копозиций и арт-объектов, вызывающих не меньшее восхищение. The history of St. Barbara's Chapel dates back to the 12th century, when it was built as a Romanesque residential tower. At the beginning of the 13th century, it was included in the New Gradek - the residence of the margrave. At the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries, a spiral staircase was added to the tower, and new windows were made on the north and south sides. Beginning in 1535, the chapel of St. Barbara became part of the Chapter. In the middle of the 18th century, the tower was divided into three floors, while on the third floor there was a private prelatian chapel of St. Barbara. To this day, the chapel has been preserved in a slightly modified form. Initially, the tower had a conical roof, which, with the beginning of the Baroque era, was replaced by a dome with a lantern. The top of this dome is decorated with a gilded statue of Saint Barbara. Currently, restoration work is underway in the chapels of the cathedral, so the entrance to them is temporarily limited. However, this did not upset me at all, since on the square in front of the cathedral there were many sculptural compositions and art objects that aroused no less admiration.

Románské základy věže a hradu jsou dnes přístupné při prohlídce arcidiecesního muzea. Originally a tower - bergfrit of Přemyslid Castle, its origins date back to the 11th century.
