The village of Čimice is first mentioned in 1334. It was annexed to Prague in 1960 and is now part of the Prague 8 district. Of the oldest settlement, only the Classicist niche chapel of St. John of Nepomuk was preserved near the former fortress, which today stands at the supply entrance to the local shopping center. Before moving, it formed a significant urban landmark on the hill of the old Čimice village square. The chapel with an illegible chronograph from the second half of the 18th century was rebuilt, after its reconstruction only its upper part has been preserved in its original form.
