Eine sehr sehr kleine Kapelle, umgeben von großen Wohnblöcken, für sich ganz nett, aber in nicht so schöner Umgebung, und völlig zugedeckt von 3 großen Bäumen. Der Weg hierher lohnt sich nicht wirklich. We are pretty disappointed. A very very small chapel, surrounded by large blocks of flats, quite nice for itself, but not so beautiful surroundings, and completely covered by 3 large trees. The way here is not really worth it.

A abych se svým popisem téhož neopakoval, tak bych tě chtěl upozornit na nedaleko stojící výklenkovou kapli. Doufám, že obě tyto církevní stavby tu s námi budou i nadále. Původní význam byl zřejmě, co by významný orientační bod, v horní části břevnovské návsi, tedy volného prostoru, který sloužil k trhům i shromážděním občanů, byla zřejmě zvonice, kde se zvoněním na zvonec, obec svolávala. Mnohdy v případě úředních oznámení či živelných pohrom, např. požárů. Proto bývala tato místo na stejném místě svěcena jako kaple, třeba proto, aby zajistila přízeň světců, kteří byly patronem kapličky.. Stará břevnovská náves se svými domy byla zbořená v 70. letech 20. století, aby uvolnila místo pro výstavbu panelového sídliště Ministerstva vnitra - mezi starousedlíky nazývaného Obušek. Architekti sídliště zachovali mezi paneláky alespoň půdorys náměstí, v jehož horní části jako zázrakem přežila stará kaplička (zvonička). Kaplička (zvonička) byla nedávno opravená, dostala nové dveře a i když je tady mezi paneláky utopená a ztracená, alespoň žije. Když byste se sem mezi paneláky, tak trochu kopírující starou náves, uvidíte pod vzrostlými stromy kousek historie, který vás povede k malému zastavení. Zastavte se, je to milé místo. The chapel (bell tower) was recently repaired, got a new door and even though it is drowned and lost among the prefabricated buildings, it at least lives. If you were here among the block of flats, a little copy of the old village square, you will see a piece of history under the tall trees that will lead you to a small stop. Stop by, it's a nice place.

Kaple svatého Floriána stojící mezi dvěma stromy je vystavěna na osmibokém půdorysu a završena rovněž oktogonální lucernou se zvonem. Ve vrcholu je osazen litinový křížek. Prostranství před kapličkou dotváří drobný litinový krucifix na stupňovitém kamenném soklu. Kaple je zapsána do seznamu kulturních památek.
